EXCITING 4-DAY HULA EVENT IN HILO

There will be a lot of fun and exciting moments at Hula Town Hilo. Here is the complete schedule of the festival. If you would like to carry it with you, here is printable version.

For those who would like to stay one more day in Hilo, Iwlani kalima has a small festival on Sunday 9/26 at Queen Lili‘uokalani Park. Everyone is welcome, and we will perfrom Liliʻu in tribute to Queen Lili‘uokalani together.

WEDNESDAY | SEPTEMBER 22, 2010

Welcome to Hula Town Hilo! Are you ready for the wonderful and exciting experience? Let's start with checking in and registration, and don't forget to pick up your pass for the workshops!

Check-in & Registration

3:00pm - 6:00pm

Please check-in and register at the Hula Town Hilo desk near the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel entrance.

Welcome Party at Hilo Hawaiian Hotel

7:00pm - 9:00pm

Welcome ceremony and message by Loea Kawaikapu Hewett and introduction of Hula Town Hilo staff and sponsors. There will be live music and hula performance to welcome all of you to Hula Town Hilo. No host dinner will be available.

THURSDAY | SEPTEMBER 23, 2010

There will be 3 workshops to learn 3 different hula kahiko songs by Keala Ching and Blaine Kia, as well as beautiful performance by local halau during the lunch time.

SATURDAY | SEPTEMBER 25, 2010

A special Volcano Tour will be held to learn about the Big Island and Pele, and the final paina at the hotel to celebrate this gathering time!
